It's winter right now & as I type this it's cold & raining outside. I wish it was warm enough for a bowl like this!
By adding protein powder to this bowl it helps to lower the GI & regulate blood sugar levels keeping you fuller for longer. I often add avocado to my smoothie bowls as the added fat does a similar thing but avocado doesn't quite go with this one!
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1/4 of a cantaloupe
- 1 serve of your fave vanilla protein powder
- a pinch of nutmeg
- a splash of coconut water
- blitz everything together until smooth (the amount of coconut water will depend on your desired consistency, start with 1 splash then add another if needed)
- transfer to a bowl & top with a few toppings for added texture. Toppings don't only add extra yumminess to your bowel, by creating texture you need to chew more which helps with digestion.
Ps- Banana, cantaloupe & nutmeg are the best of friends...if you haven’t tried this combo then do it!
