There is no cooking required for this porridge!
I use oat flour to make this which is oats that I’ve previously blitzed in my food processor. The most difficult thing you need to do is boil your kettle!
This makes for an excellent baby food too. I used to make this for my girls when they were babies. Mix in fruit purée or sweet potato. your babe will love this!
I’ve also been known to take this in a sealed container on plane trips. You just need to ask the flight attendants for hot water & et voila…sky high oats! I mix dried fruit & seeds in with the oat flour. Below is a pic of some of the things I took with me on my last long haul flight which includes a little container of sky-high oat mix. It’s so good!
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- Fruit to top it with
- Maple syrup to sweeten
- Optional: collagen, protein powder, cacao powder, maca powder, seeds, peanut butter…
- Add your oat flour to a bowl then mix in the boiling water. Stir well to combine
- Pour in your milk of choice to thin it out. Add more or less depending on your preferred consistency
- Add fruit, maple syrup & whatever other toppings you like.
