Apple & Sultana Biscuits

These are not sugar-free or fat-free or low-carb... What they are is real, whole, nutritious food! And yum!


We love them with a side of berries for a special breakfast.


RECIPE


Ingredients

- 1 cup oats

- 1 cup buckwheat flour

- 1/2 cup sultanas

- 2 tbsp flax meal

- 2 tbsp pepitas

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1/3 cup honey (or rice malt syrup)

- 1/3 cup coconut oil

- 2 tbsp tahini (or peanut butter)

- 1 grated apple


Method

- preheat your oven to 175C

- mix the dry ingredients

- melt the honey, oil & tahini together then mix it through the dry ingredients

- fold through the grated apple

- roll spoonfuls in your hands & flatten them to around 1cm thickness on a lined baking tray

- optional -> sprinkle with sesame seeds

- bake for 10-12 mins or until golden brown
